Sneak Peek...

A sneak peek of my first little boy which will be listed on my website this afternoon!! Still tweaking the overall pattern, but this little fella is pretty darn cute. Sometimes I just don't think the camera justifies their cuteness....not that I'm tooting my own horn. I'm still plugging away on my stack of custom orders and have four dolls to list after lunch.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!!

Tackle it Tuesday-Behind the Scenes....

I have lots on my mind this morning!
I ran across this cute Meme at 5 minutes for mom, that I'm going to try to keep up with every Tuesday.

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

So this will be kind of a behind the scenes peek here at the Thompson household. I've always have a lot of projects going at the same time. I NEED some tackle time to complete one project before moving on to the next!! But today's project will not be housework...needs to be....but won't be. Today I will tackle all of my wonderful custom orders I received over the weekend. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Tuesdays and Thursdays are always so busy and short. We have preschool in the morning, so it's almost like loosing half day of work with running back and forth from that, Kindergarten pick up lunch, laundry, ect... So with that today, I'm going to try to squeeze in making 10 dolls. At least getting them almost finished.
~
But first, I want to share that my little Hutton made it through surgery great! They will be in the process of removing drainage tubes ect. today and she will still be pretty medicated to make her comfortable for healing. Please continue for God's healing hand on this little girl!!
~

Second, I want to share a picture of the fabulous view from my in-laws cabin over the weekend! This is what they look out the window to everyday! Tristin and Grandpa were in the distance planting some tree's. It is a blessing to spend time with them!
While we were relaxing and enjoying the sunshine, my sweet husband was up at four-thirty every morning to drive in to Cincinnati to honor one of our fallen solders, SGT Matt Maupin. It always hits so close to home to experience these things. Being a soldier is a self-less job, and I am so proud of my husband for his service to our country. Here is a picture that was taken at the memorial service. Keith is the last in line holding Matt's helmet.

They all did such a great job honoring Matt!! Even though I wasn't able to make it to the actual service, I was able to watch through live coverage on TV. That was a blessing for me to share in that experience with Keith and also give the kids a little in site to what Matt did for his fellow soldiers and country.

~

Well I'm off to tackle!! I'll be back tomorrow to give you all an update!

Yay Free Friday!

It's coming!!! I'm not quite done with my giveaway so it will be later today before I have it listed for you. For those of you on my website email update list, I will let you know when it's ready to go. For those of you who would like to be notified of my free giveaways and updates, please sign up. I promise I don't bug you very much! :)

Until then I will leave you with my little Kolton!

Warning!! This is fourth child syndrome! I'm not talking about Kolton...I'm talking about ME! With Tristin (our first) I would have flipped out! I would have flipped out at the cookie. A toilet in the picture would have put me over the top!! But yet with Kolton, I stop to grab a picture before telling him No....Yikes...please pray for my children! :) So you noticed what he just "sneaked" out of the snack cupboard. He must have wanted to get rid of the chocolate evidence by washing his hands! Now, please note that I watched this whole thing play out. How he double checks to see if I'm watching to get in the cupboard. Then you can hear the paper rattling and BAM the door closes back up and he shoots down the hall to his favorite room. Yep, the bathroom! One of his favorite past times is to feel the refreshing chill of the toilet water hitting his face as he splashes in there with all his might. I have scolded him many times and yet you see where it gets me! But to ease all of your minds...it was a clean potty! I'm not that far gone to let my child play in a nasty toilet! So knowing it was clean, I grabbed my camera quick. Am I just justifying this??? Ohhh, I love my babies!
I'll be back soon everyone!
Thanks!

Hutton Update

Isn't this just the cutest picture ever!! This is little Hutton on a jet plane to Philadelphia Sunday. Her surgery has been postponed until next week, so please continue to pray that the Lord will prepare and protect her little body through this next phase. Also pray for her Mommy, Daddy, brother, sisters, and her whole family!! A couple people asked me about Hutton yesterday
so I cut and paste a section from her caringbridge site. The actual link is in the post under this one if you want to read her story from the beginning. Pray for little Dylan as well who is mentioned below... Thanks to everyone who has opened their heart to this family! ~Tina
***********************************
We still aren't definite about what the plan is for Hutton. Her numbers from the cath lab were not "ideal" for a stage 2 but they weren't horrible either. The cath doc kind of acted like he wasn't sure that she could get her stage two so David and I were devastated to say the least. Then hours later, Dr. Gaynor (surgeon) comes in with Stephanie (Hutt's Aunt Steph and also a surgeon) and they have smiles on their faces saying that the cath looked good and it looked like Monday but Dr. Gaynor said he would have to talk to Dr. Rychik first and make sur that it was okay with him. Don't you just LOVE rollercoasters? Can't wait to see what Dr.Rychik has to say about this! Dr. Gaynor said that it is a little bit higher risk to do a Glenn (stage 2) with higher pressures but Hutton has always been higher risk. They like pressures to be in the teens and hers was 20. So, not terribly high, just higher than they normally like. They have done Glenn's on babies with higher pressures before so it won't be like Hutton's the only baby who has had it done before. Like I said, we still have to hear from Rychik. Her function looked great so that is a positive.
I will update after I talk to Dr. Rychik. Please continue to pray for her pressures to drop and for wisdom for the doctors as we ponder what is next for Hutton.
Thank you so much to everyone who has been loving on our kids while we have been away. David is excited to see them. Also, thank you to all the doctors here at CHOP who LOVE Hutton and want the very best for her. And a HUGE thank you to David and Stephanie Fuller for taking us into their home while we are here. I am feeling very spoiled! They have a BEAUTIFUL home and are so good to us. Thanks guys! You are amazing! We love you!
I will update soon. Thanks for your prayers. They are holding us up right now.
Oh- and please pray for Dylan as he is on standby today for his stage two! We are all so excited for him! Pray that he will stay strong and blow those docs away!
Love from Philly,
Jill for the Johnsons

PLEASE PRAY FOR MY HUTTON!

****
"Well... look out Philly! Here comes Hutton! Surgery is scheduled and transportation has been arranged ( thank you Joe Powell!!!!) and on Sunday, we are headed to the city of brotherly love. Cath is Tuesday with surgery on Wednesday. So lets all get on our knees and start praying to the only one who can heal Hutton!" Jill Johnson (Hutton's Mommy)
****
Please pray for this little girl. Pass along this request to your friends, family, and prayer chain.
"And all things you ask in prayer, believing , you will receive." Matthew 21:22
~
"Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." John 14:13-14
May Jesus hold you in his hands Hutton....we LOVE you!!
~Tina

Things to come at Baby be Blessed!

With a new pattern and a brand new stash of fabric, I'm cutting and sewing away in my little corner of the laundry room. First of all I think this new pattern, which I purchased from bit of whimsy primitives, is just the cutest ever! The possibilities of fabric and color combinations are endless! If you sew, you MUST visit her etsy shop for her awesome pattern line! Second, I purchased some new fabric over the weekend and how perfect to receive it in time to make up this cutie!! I dropped the personalized scripture patch a bit to show off her cute polka dot shirt. What do you think??

The Clothes Line

THE BASIC RULES

1. You had to wash the clothes line before hanging any clothes. Walk the length of each line with a damp cloth around the line.

2. You had to hang the clothes in a certain order and always hang whites with whites and hang them first.

3. You never hung a shirt by the shoulders, always by the tail. What would the neighbors think?

4. Wash day on a Monday ... never hang clothes on the weekend or Sunday for heaven's sake!

5. Hang the sheets and towels on the outside lines so you could hide your 'unmentionables' in the middle.

6. It didn't matter if it was sub zero weather ....clothes would 'freeze dry.'

7. Always gather the clothes pins when taking down dry clothes. Pins left on the line was 'tacky'.

8. If you were efficient, you would line the clothes up so that each item did not need two clothes pins, but shared one of the clothes pins with the next washed item.

9. Clothes off of the line before dinner time, neatly folded in the clothes basket and ready to be ironed.

10. IRONED?????????? Well, that's a whole other subject.

A POEM

A clothes line was a news forecast to neighbors passing by.There were no secrets you could keep when clothes were hung to dry.It also was a friendly link for neighbors always knew if company had stopped on by To spend a night or two.For then you'd see the "fancy sheets"And towels upon the line; You'd see the "company table cloths"With intricate design. The line announced a baby's birth to folks who lived inside as brand new infant clothes were hung so carefully with pride. The ages of the children could so readily be known by watching how the sizes changed you'd know how much they'd grown. It also told when illness struck,As extra sheets were hung; Then nightclothes, and a bathrobe, too,Haphazardly were strung. It said, "Gone on vacation now"When lines hung limp and bare.It told, "We're back!" when full lines sagged with not an inch to spare.New folks in town were scorned upon if wash was dingy gray,As neighbors carefully raised their brows,And looked the other way..But clotheslines now are of the past for dryers make work less. Now what goes on inside a home is anybody's guess.I really miss that way of life.It was a friendly sign when neighbors knew each other best
by what hung on the line!

**********

Isn't this the cutest thing! This was sent to me by Grandma Shopp yesterday. Wiping off the line???? Well that makes sense, so that is what I did this morning before hanging out my first load. YUCK!! Why didn't I even think of this before!! You would not believe the dirt and (other things) that is on a skinny clothes line! I will never again hang out a load without wiping down the line again!!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!!

Feels Like Spring!

My daffodils are finally peeking out after a seasonal rest. This darn Ohio weather always gives me fits with 75 degrees one day and then 40 degrees the next. With cold weather and rain behind us (for now) today is a beautiful spring day! I wish I could have sat out on our patio, soaked up some rays, and read a book....oh I wish...
Today, like every other was a busy busy day! Lola had her Kindergarten screening today which went very well. She was so excited and did great on all of her testing. Her favorite part however, was when we had to wait in the cafeteria for her final station at lunch time. Lola is my social butterfly! She may act all shy and cutsie at first, but that is not her true personality. You could have heard her over all the lunch room crowd yelling at this one or that. She makes sure that you hear and acknowledge her, and will keep yelling until you do! So when we got the all clear for Kindergarten, we called Daddy on the phone and all she talked about was seeing this person and that person. Not too many details on the actual reason we were there. =) She is so darn cute and it just breaks my heart that I will have three in school next year. Good thing I can hold onto Kolton for a while....then what will I do??!!
Have a great day everyone!
