Master Boston! =)

Sweet little Boston is holding his own comfy at home with Mommy, Daddy and sister Brooklyn! What a praise it is!! If you have been following their blog this month, you would have read the post from Aunt Kristin (Boston's Aunt THAT ROCKS! =) You would have read that Extreme Makeover Home addition was taking nominations for a family in Indiana, and they were asking for as many nominations as possible by the deadline of Feb. 10. I continue to pray that Boston's family is chosen! My whole point is that I wanted to include a bit of Aunt Kristin's blog post to explain that we are praising God that the family is holding it's own right now, but continued challenges are coming ahead.... Here is a little bit of what she shared.
Their family has been, well, I am not sure how to put this (my sister is the writer of the family) burdened with many difficulties over the past few years. As you well know Brooklyn has a diagnosis of Rett Syndrome which confines her to a chair and will soon need a wheel chair to move about. Charlie has recently discovered he has a rare disease known as Bechets...who knows what this will bring, even the doctors can't say for sure. Reading about it would stress any wife out, it can be a crippling disease and even lead to blindness. He currently battles chronic pain on a daily basis. Finally their latest bundle of joy, our lovable Boston who has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. One family should not have to endure such heartache not to mention all the therapists that are in and out of their house on a weekly basis :)
So not only do we need to continue praying for little Boston (who has Down Syndrome and other health issues) but please pray for Daddy (who has Bechets), sister Brooklyn (who has Rett Syndrome) and also for sweet sweet Mommy!

This is our chance to do our part in helping this family!!

We are almost half way to our goal of $1000 this month with only a small handful of days left.

...I know how tight the economy is.
...I know that we all have had a little more month than dollar.

BUT...if you are able to give ANY amount (it doesn't matter if it is only a couple of bucks) please do so! Joining together we can offer help financially to this sweet family!

If you are able to give a little more, we would love to give a little back to you!

For each $20.00 you give to the Butler family, Baby be Blessed will send you a $5 voucher to use on our website. So if you give $20 we will give you $5. If you are able to give $40 we will give you $10.00 ect. PLUS you will still be entered into our Giveaway which you can read about HERE.

Are you excited?? I am!!

Don't forget that the money goes directly to the Butler family, so you will have to forward your pmt confirmation to babybeblessed@gmail.com to receive your vouchers and giveaway numbers.

Have a very BLESSED day everyone!! Continue to be on your knees for the Butler family!

MUCH LOVE~Tina

ORDER STATUS~

All I got to say is I love my girls!!

I praise God for them and He knows that things would not get done in a glorifying manner without them! Baby be Blessed is a body of hands and feet working together for His awesome glory!! Laura keeps me together with all of the orders coming in and works with every single scripture patch!! She gets everything ready to print out onto fabric! My sister, Michelle works week after week with all of the arms and legs which can be a very tedious job. Tracing, sewing, cutting, and stuffing the same pieces over and over. But Michelle always has a joyful heart and also helps with the blankets, crowns, diapers, and whatever else we throw at her! Then we have Norma making the doll outfits and Lori's sister Lynn helping with the doll dresses and skirts! Thank you so much ladies, you do an awesome job!! And last but certainly NOT least, we have Miss Lori and Miss Denise kickin' some bootie on the machine!! Lori sews all the dolls and Denise sews all the Lambs, Lions and Bunnies! They also help me with cutting and getting things organized and ready to go. I just wanted to mention all of them this morning, because Baby be Blessed would not be what it is without them. The Lord has placed us all together and we continue to be obedient with what He as given.

With all of that said, I am so very excited and blessed to share how many dolls will be shipped out again this week!!

We continue to pray for each and every child as their doll passes through each of our hands! Use these dolls to Your glory Lord and we thank You for the opportunity to make them and spread your Word...one doll at a time!

Too Cute...Tuesday!

(Written by Grace's Mommy)
Grace was an orphan on the other side of the globe. She has Down Syndrome. Many times in other countries, orphans with special needs are given a small window of opportunity to be adopted. If they are not adopted by a certain age (usually about 4 years old), they are often placed in mental institutions. One day we looked at the Reece's Rainbow website. Reece's Rainbow is a ministry that finds forever families for children with Down Syndrome (and other special needs) around the world.God led us to that site and ultimately to our daughter Grace. In August of 2009, we traveled to her orphanage to pick her up. We took a Baby be Blessed doll with us to meet her. She was very attached to her favorite caretaker at the orphanage, so she didn't take well at all to us taking her away. It was not an easy day for her.

1) Photo 1 is of my husband having our first attempts to bond with Grace. She was interested in the Baby Be Blessed doll (but not us!).:) She leaned in close to see the doll but didn't want to get too close to us.

2) Photo 2 is of Grace the next morning in our hotel bed. She had a bit of a restless night, and this doll was her comfort and best friend. It aided in the transition so much!

3) Photo 3 is of Grace on the airplane. She didn't know exactly where she was or what was happening, but she was secure with us and her doll.
4) Photo 4 is of Grace after being home about a month. She is a different child! What a difference a home and family can make! And her Baby be Blessed doll is still her favorite baby. (Oh, and her first English word was "DOLL!") :)

Do you have a photo to share or a testimony of how God has used a Baby be Blessed doll?? Please share with us! babybeblessed@gmail.com

May God be Glorified! ~Tina

YAY...Free Friday!!

Jesus said to her,
"I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in Me, though he may die,
he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in
Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
John 11:25-26

Whoo Hoo!! It's YAY...Free Friday!! We are going to give away this precious pink chenille lamb! She measures 16" tall and has an espresso brown smooth minky face and inner ear! Her nose and mouth are handstiched. She has safety eyes, a touch of blush on her cheeks and pink crochet flower! The ribbon around her neck reads truly, madly, deeply in love -which I feel is so appropriate since God is love and has shown how truly, madly and deeply in love He is with us by sending Jesus to be the Savior of the world!

"We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him." 1 John 4:16

We don't like to stay in the same old rhythm of things around here, so....

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! =)

The winner will be chosen randomly from those who are following this blog through Google Friend Connect. To be entered...simply follow this blog by clicking the follow button found above this post. That's it!!

I'll choose the winner on Monday morning!

*Now...if you follow this blog and win this lamb and do not want it, you may have the choice to pass and I will pick another winner.

Have a FANTASTIC weekend!!
Much - Much Love!!

An overdue introduction....

Boston Clark Butler!

Meet the Butlers

Kelly and Charlie Butler are the proud parents of Brooklyn and Boston. A beautiful family of 4 that has had more than their fair share of heartache. Brooklyn is 4 years old and is cute as a button, always smiling. Just before her second birthday the Butlers were hit with some devastating news, Brooklyn was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a severe neurological disorder that takes seemingly healthy little girls and robs them of their ability to walk, talk or use their hands. They require 24 hour care for the rest of their lives. Kelly refused to let the diagnosis of her daughter break her, she started looking for ways to get involved with finding a cure and is currently working for a non-profit called Girl Power 2 Cure raising funds for Rett Syndrome research. People are naturally drawn to Kelly because of her kindness, love, and richly positive attitude. She is one of those people you just want to be friends with in hopes that some of her may rub off on you. She works tirelessly for her daughter and the thousands of girls with Rett Syndrome and does it all with a smile.

Last May disease struck the Butler household again when Charlie was diagnosed with Behcets Disease, a multisystemic disease that affects almost every organ in the body. Again, Kelly and Charlie took the diagnosis in stride, believing that things would look up. They were pregnant at the time and were looking forward to welcoming another blessing into their household. That blessing came sooner than they had expected when complications arose and Kelly gave birth to a son named Boston on September 12, 2009 - 10 weeks early. Boston weighed in at 2 pounds, 3 ounces. Charlie and Kelly joyously welcomed their sweet preemie into the world thanking God for his blessings.

Boston spent 10 weeks in the NICU where he went through a rollercoaster of tests, procedures, and complications, including NEC (Necrotizing Enterocolitis) – a life threatening condition for preemie’s. Just when things were starting to look up the Butlers were hit with more hard news - Boston was diagnosed with Down Syndrome.

Imagine, 3 incurable, rare diagnoses in 1 family would just about crush most of us but the Butlers continue to stand gracefully.

Today Boston is home although still on oxygen. Charlie and Kelly are now juggling therapy, doctors and specialists for both their children. You can follow their stories at: http://www.bostonclarkbutler.blogspot.com/ and http://www.brooklynbutler.blogspot.com/

Please keep the Butlers in your prayers!

Marvelous Monday!

Good Morning Everyone!!

Hope your having a MARVELOUS MONDAY!

Lori and Denise have been sewing dolls/lambs like madwomen!! =) I'm tellin' ya!! I can't keep up!! We have been snowed in here the past couple of days, and I have been tucked in by the fireplace finishing away!!

To look at all of them is overwhelming! As I finish each smile and tie every bow, my heart fills up. I think of the child who will be squeezing and loving on that baby. Every single doll is different just as every child is different! We pray for each child (by name if the doll is personalized). The Lord knows every situation that that child/family is going through, and I continue to ask that He use these simple little dolls to plant the seeds of His truth and hope!

Lord, we give you all praise and glory!

~ Give a Blessing to Boston Clark Butler!! (coming soon)

Morning ponderings....

"For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies."
Psalm 57:10

I sit here this morning with the warm powerful sun STREAMING through the window!! I saw it rise this morning. It was a hot pink blaze in the Eastern sky!! So bright that you couldn't really look directly at it for more than a second. Outside the cold air nips at the branches as they sway back and forth as the squirrels are in full scurry chasing each other in the trees. Wow...I really don't take enough time to look at what's all around me.

My dog, Gunner always has his nose pressed to the window watching the beautiful creation of our maker. Even as I type this I smile, because he is right beside me with his big black nose pressed so hard against the window he is making that awful snot noise...like he's trying to sniff what's going on outside, right through the window!!

God is SO GOOD!!

I woke with such a heavy heart this morning. Many prayer requests in my mind and heart. Burdens of the world weighing me down. But as I spent time in prayer and strengthen myself in His powerful word...that heavy weight is lifted. It is not mine to carry. When I choose to hold it, I crumble under the pressure. So once again this morning I handed it over, knowing that our God is in full control of every single circumstance!!

GREAT IS YOUR LOVE!! GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS!!

It is beyond our comprehension...and I praise You!!
Take time today and press your nose pressed against the window!
God is doing some pretty amazing things!!
