Pure Love...

I pray that each of you are having a wonderful Easter weekend spending time reflecting and remembering the precious Gift that was given to each person who chooses to believe.

In my own personal study and reading through the scriptures once again, I wanted to share a little devotion that is in my Bible.

Matthew 26:39 reads:
"He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, 'Oh My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.'"

If what is possible?

If salvation and redemption can come in any other way. If man can be
saved by any other method -by being good, by being religious, by being sincere-
then let this cup pass from Me.

If it were possible for man to be saved in any other way, Jesus would not
have gone to the cross. People sometimes take offense at the face that we
teach that Jesus is the only way. But His death was the only way; so He
prayed, in beautiful submission to the Father, "Not as I will, but as You
will." (Chuck Smith)

Isn't it beautiful?

There was no other way.

He was persecuted, beaten, died and was resurrected for you and for me.

30 Day Scripture Challenge!

I'm pretty linked up to all the latest and greatest social networking media that allows us to share tid bits of our life instantly to the world, friends or followers.

We are quick to share things about our day,our feelings and emotions.

Though all this media isn't all bad...my heart has a challenge for you!

What if we devoted to spreading His word on facebook, twitter, our blogs and any other social network for the next 30 days and encouraged all of our followers to do the same?! After all isn't that the mission of the church...to go out and share the message of Jesus Christ? To share His teaching to the world? My Pastor shared Romans 10:17 this week, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God". We need to be hearing and hearing and sharing and sharing!!

The Challenge: For the next 30 days simply share a scripture verse on facebook, twitter or your blog everyday and allow God to move through you.

That's it! =)

Would you join us?

He desires our beauty!

"So the King will greatly desire your beauty
Because He is your Lord, worship Him."

Psalm 45:11

Even through the mundane of the piles of pots needing washing and bowls of potatoes needing peeling...He shows me His love!

I am undeserving. His grace covers me.

Choosing to be beautiful in my attitude today!
He is my God and I desire to worship Him inside and out!

Psalm 30:11-12

"You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praises to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!" Psalm 30:11-12
-You'll never know the experience of being clothed with joy until you've allowed Him to remove your sackcloth. Beth Moore, Seeking a heart like His.

This was from my bible study this morning. It has stuck in my mind today, so I thought I would share. =) Lately I have been feeling just yuck. Maybe it's hormones or maybe it's having a few busy weeks. I've just felt like well...tearing my clothes and sitting with dirt on my face. No particular big reason. Just feeling yuck! =)

So when I read this verse this morning, I took it straight to heart. Joshua 7:10 immediately came to my mind and I always smile when I remember it. Maybe because I feel the Lord has spoken these words to my heart many times and has reminded me of them today...it reads: "So the LORD said to Joshua: "Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face?"

Isn't that great! I love it!!

And isn't it wonderful that He never leaves us with our face in the dirt! =)

I'm definitely ready to stand up and turn my mourning into dancing!

How about you?!

REMOVE MY SACKCLOTH LORD! I will sing praises and not be silent!

O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!!

Too Cute Tuesday!

We got our doll today and love it !
Thank you for all of your hard work that you put forth in making each of these dolls. We wanted something extra special to give our daughter that would remind her of her Gotcha day. We picked out this verse because it encouraged my husband and I greatly as we waited to bring Reagan home from Guatemala. We pray that this verse will encourage Reagan throughout the course of her life. Thank you again for all that you do and for spreading the word of God with your beautiful dolls.

With much love, the Gower Family
