Proverbs 22:6
What does God speak to your heart concerning training up your child?
This verse is woven deep within me...I want and choose to be obedient and trustworthy of these four gifts the Lord has given. This verse is part of what God used when starting Baby be Blessed. That a simple handmade doll would be a tool for parents to use for training or teaching God's powerful word!
But you know what?! God's been pressing on me to step it up!! Do I teach my children God's word, yes. Are we involved in a biblical teaching church, yes. Do I use every opportunity the Lord gives me to teach His word, yes. Can I step it up and teach them more, YES!
It all really starts with us as parents. Do you want to train your child? Are you training your child? How do we do this?? I've been praying and seeking how He wants me to step it up within my own family as well as sharing my thoughts and journey of this with all of you. It's more than just learning Sunday morning at Church, it is a daily lifestyle...a daily choice of making what is important a priority within your day.
First and foremost in order for all of this to work effectively with my children...it starts with me. Where am I with the Lord? Am I properly trained myself in order to train my children?? We can not train our children if we are not in fit condition ourselves!
Knowing Jesus and having a relationship with him is not through a book you read or a bible study you attend. It is having a personal on going relationship with our Father. As with any relationship it grows overtime but only if it you put time and effort into that relationship. We can do that through spending time with the Lord. In prayer, asking God to examine our hearts. In His word, feeding ourselves so we can feed our children. Remembering and daily choosing to look at God's word and seeking His ways and will for our lives.
It starts with us folks....will you join me in prayer this week. Will you join me in stepping it up within your own family and share your ventures with us?? May God start our training with a pure heart and clear direction. It is only with His direction an excellent training within us that will guide and direct excellent training for our children!
I'm so excited to start this new venture!!
Please share them with us!! Do you blog about this?? Leave your link below in the comment section so that we can share, learn and encourage each other!!
Let's gather again next Thursday to see how the Lord works in our hearts over the next week as we seek His will in properly training our children!

Too Cute...Tuesday!
I was so beyond touched by the beautiful lamb that I received a couple of
weeks ago from you guys. I was the fortunate winner of Rachel O’s adoption
fundraiser giveaway form several months back. After communicating with you guys
about the lamb design, color, verse, footprints, etc, I was so excited and could
hardly wait to see the finished product. You most certainly did not disappoint!
I was so touched and immediately got tears in my eyes. What a treasure and
blessing! What you guys have gifted me with is something that is beyond words.
Thank you so much! Besides the wonderful touching aspect of the lamb, I
was very impressed with the overall quality. I am sending you a picture of
my son Caleb holding the lamb. It is so poignant because the lamb was made in
memory of Joshua, Caleb’s identical twin. With a grateful heart,
Wendi

Time
Time. God has given us time here on earth. Why? He could simply rapture us up after our salvation...but He doesn't. He gives us this time. Time to live out that salvation. But the question I'm pondering this morning...
What am I spending my time on? I really feel that what we spend our time on is what we live for. Yes, we have to work and do things maybe we don't enjoy...but where is your heart during that time. Who are you doing these thing for? Yourself or the Lord. I guess I'm thinking on the bigger picture of things this morning. What am I spending my time on...
Life can get so crazy busy that we so easily loose focus on our time. It slips away. Happens to me more than what I would care to admit. We need to keep our eyes and ears where they should be...on Jesus. Everything else really doesn't matter. Yes, it is glorifying to to go to work, pay your bills and be faithful with what you are given. But it's simply a matter of the heart. Who are you doing those things for? You'll burn out pretty quick if it is for ourselves. First and foremost ALL of our time and ALL of we do should be done for the Lord. We need to remind ourselves of that daily...sometimes moment by moment. I encourage you to keep your eyes in God's word...the Holy Spirit will meet with you. Get involved in a biblical church and bible study. Fellowship with other believers...you will encourage them and they will encourage you. Surround yourself with Him!
So...what am I spending my time on? What am I living for?
I chose the picture above because I almost wasn't there to take it. Many times Keith will do fun things with the older three and for me, I feel it is just easier to keep Kolton at home...I've got oodles to work on here anyway. This was taken the day before we were going to set up for VBS. I had a mile long list of different things going through my head. Keith really wanted to go fishing with the kids and I. When he asked...I literally sighed. All of the things that had to get done was running through my mind. Chasing Kolton around the pond and spending my time doing nothing just wasn't on my list. But the Lord grabbed my heart!
What are you spending your time on? WHO are you living for! I smiled. My children and family are my FIRST ministry. Yes, VBS is very important...but I was obedient. It is choosing to follow Him moment by moment. Spending every moment of the time He has given you doing what He wants you to be doing. My heart was so full of joy. I was so blessed! We were able to fellowship as a family, learn about God's creation and Kolton was awesome! And you know what....everything fell into place for VBS too!
Let us all use our time living for the Lord and being a part of His plan!
Father~
I pray that we all would be about your business today! I pray that the Holy Spirit would pierce our hearts as to what work you would have us do. That the time You have given, we would give back to glorify You. May our hearts be pure! I pray that all of us Mommies look around our feet today at our first ministry Lord God ... the children You have entrusted to us! May we stand before you knowing that we have been obedient with all that you have given Lord! We love you!
In Jesus Name~Amen

His Will Wednesday
"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
I wasn't sure if we would continue with His Will Wednesday after all of what has transpired over the past week or so. But you know what.. "God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but power and love and discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7 !! So as I pray and fast today for His Will...I am doing it with a mighty heart and mind of praise! Thank you Lord!
Romans 8:28 came to mind and as I once again pondered over that verse, the Lord led me to read the entire eighth chapter of Romans. I encourage you all to read it as well and let the Lord meet you today. God is good!
Please share your prayer requests within the comments under this post. We love you all and want to know how we can be praying for you!!

Too Cute Tuesday and a Giveaway!!!
Now, this isn't me patting her back and her patting mine for promotion reasons...I really LOVE Jill's heart and pure motivations in everything she does! We are to use whatever gifts the Holy Spirit gives us and use them fully to glorify and worship our Lord and Savior! One thing that the Lord spoke to me through Jill one day when we were talking was when I was asking the question WHY? Why this and why that...and she simply replied, "Tina, it's not your place to ask why...just do! Do what the Lord calls you to do, and don't ask why." I smile just thinking about it and think of that conversation often... I LOVE IT! So stop by each of her blogs and leave her an encouraging word! Praise God for Jill and for every one of you who are glorifying Christ by proclaiming His truth and living it out daily!!

His Will Wednesday and Little Miss Arwen!
I would love to introduce to you Miss Arwen who is our June Give a Blessing recipient. The days fly by around here and I missed introducing her on June first...but as I pondered her introduction as well as His Will Wednesdays...oh how my heart was filled with a heaviness of this sweet child and her families situation. Please read it HERE. Not only does this sweet girl battle daily with many many struggles but her Mommy is battling stage IV liver cancer...my heart aches.
Really words can't even be typed as to how I am feeling this morning. Here I am going through my devotional, study through Samuel and prayer time... praying for deep burdens that are on my heart, praying for my family...really wanting to know Jesus more and asking Him to reveal Himself and HIS WILL to me. And then it hit me hard how this family must be praying. The deep burdens on their heart and their daily dependence on Him 100%. Burdens that I have never felt and will never be able to really know completely that burden. But yet I feel it...through being brothers and sisters in Christ, loving them -praying for them!
Please join us in helping this family!! If you are able to weave them into your prayers -PRAISE GOD! If you are able to visit their Caringbridge page (CLICK HERE) and sign the guestbook or email them words of encouragement -PRAISE GOD! If you are able to share on your blog and link to our Give a Blessing page to raise awareness -PRAISE GOD! If you are able to help financially -PRAISE GOD! We are called to reach out to those in need...to show them the love of Jesus Christ!
I would also like to once again open the comment section up to your prayer requests! No request is too big or small!! Please let us know how we can be in prayer for you! If you don't want to share openly online...simply type unspoken. The Lord knows your request.
Here are some requests that were spoken~

Please pray for our custody battle. The enemy is doing everything he can to discourage us, but I know that the Lord has his hand in EVERYTHING and that HIS WILL and GLORY will shine in this and HE will be glorified. Please pray for the judge to see the lies and the truth will be shown.
mailto:Rach@In%20His%20Hands said...I loved these thoughts today....Thanks so much for offering to pray! We are waiting on our Josiah's legal documents to arrive from South Korea so that the adoption process can begin here in the US. Would you please pray that the Lord's hand will continue to be over the entire process? And that Josiah is safe and loved until we can travel to bring him home? Thank you!!!
*HIS WILL WEDNESDAY was started by little April Rose's Mommy. Here is what the Lord placed on her heart...."We want healing, and miracles, and what we think is best, naturally, but we ultimately want God's will, don't we? I do. And let's be real... God's will isn't always our desire. But we know God's will is perfect..." You may read their journey HERE.
