I've been busy on my end! Lots of fun Monday stuff including paperwork, bank, post office, preschool, getting my hair done...AND eating my very first veggie burger!! Don't know why I threw that in there -besides the fact that I'm very proud of myself for being so brave. And ya know what?! It really wasn't that bad! Would choose a 1/4 pounder w/cheese first but I can officially at least say I tried it! Unlike the boiled peanuts that Lori had the other day...but that is another story! HA!

3 Years of Scripture Babies!!

Three years ago...I placed the first scripture patch on the dolls I made! Wow, what a wonderful journey it has been! More amazing (and scary) than I ever would have thought! Isn't that how God works! He just blows your socks off with love, grace and blessings beyond what we could imagine when we are obedient to what He calls us to do!

Pictured above is the very first "Scripture doll" that was sold. The scripture reads:

"For I know the plans I have for you." Declares the Lord.
"plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Give a Blessing!

What exciting news we have to share with you today!

Did you know, our first Give a Blessing was in September of 2008! It's hard to believe it has been that long already! It really seems like yesterday when we supported little Janessa! It started and continues to be simply giving back what we have received. To be an open vessel for God to work through!

"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."
1 John:11

With the start of a new year is new beginnings with Give a Blessing! I am so happy and blessed to announce that Lyndsie Brooker has joined the Baby be Blessed family to head up Give a Blessing!



You may recognize Lyndsie and her husband, Daniel from a few months back. They were our Give a Blessing recipients for the month of Oct. 2010. It makes me smile how the Lord works. When we spoke on the phone the first time I shared with her how the Lord just knit my heart to her. That she came to mind often and really (at the time) thought that it was just confirmation that we were to support them...but God has bigger plans doesn't He!!

So as we get started Lyndsie and I would like to ask you to help us out.

As far as the whopping $591 dollars (including money from the lamb bundles ordered) donated for supplies to Maria's Big House of Hope, I am prayerfully weighing out our options. Initially we were going to purchase supplies and ship them down to Show Hope. But because YA'LL ARE SO AWESOME! $591 dollars purchases A LOT of diapers and sleepers!! Then we would have the cost to ship it all down to TN...so what I'm praying over (though I would LOVE to go on a baby shopping spree!) is to be the best stewards of the money given and donate it directly to the Maria's Big House of Hope fund so they could purchase the supplies needed directly.

So, if you would join me in praying for Gods direction... I would love you for it!!

I have much more to share about Give a Blessing for this year, but it will have to wait for tomorrow!

New Fabric!

Those of you who have followed us for a while know how much I am in LOVE with fabric!

So in love in fact that I HAD to cut way back on what I ordered because my sewing cupboard was way over stuffed!

But I've done pretty good over this past year (if I do say so myself).

So when that box comes in the mail...I'm a like a little one at Christmas! I love it!
