Yay...Free Friday Giveaway!!

Okay...so for this weeks giveaway either you will absolutely LOVE her or not. Meet Miss Emma! My Lola absolutely LOVES her!! Miss Emma is right up Lola's alley...bold and beautiful! I should have taken a picture of Lola yesterday in her beautiful pink satin dress, bold striped pink/blue/yellow cotton tights and red glitter shoes. So like my Miss Lola, Miss Emma is my little bright, bold and beautiful child. Natalie on the other hand looked at it and said after a pause... "Yeah she's cute, kind of". So I think you will either like her or you won't, but she was super fun to make!

Miss Emma is a combo pattern between the Eve and Sallie Mae. She measures 16" tall, is made from ivory chenille and has quilted red/blue polka dot hair. Her cotton dress is removable and the scripture patch reads "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. Face is handstitchd with safety eyes and her polka dot hair is trimmed with a red bow. She really is snugly soft and would be a great friend for your little one!

Okay...the rules. Enter to win Miss Emma by leaving your contact information in the comment section under this post. You may enter only once Friday-Sunday and I will choose the winner on Monday.

Have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!! ~Tina

Yay...It's Free Friday!

Is it Friday again?! The weeks are flying by and one day just rolls to the next. I have another new BbB pattern to introduce to you this week. Please meet Lambnut! This little peanut lamb measures 11" tall, is made from sage green chenille and espresso brown minky dot inner ear and face. He/she has safety eyes and handstitched nose and mouth. I did put a yellow crochet flower on but it is just pinned right now in case a little boy would happen to be the lucky winner. The scripture patch reads " The Lord will command His Angels to take good care of you" Luke 4:10
This pattern was inspired by the BitofWhimsy peanut pattern. To win this little Lambnut, simply leave your contact information in the comment section under this post. You may enter only once Friday-Sunday and I will choose the winner on Marvelous Monday! Thanks everyone!! ~Tina

Thankful for New Life!

I'm all choked up with emotion as I write this.... Natalie was dedicated to the Lord as a baby. Keith and I promised to raise her in His truth. Over the past year she has really grown spiritually. Natalie chooses to believe in that truth, which is Jesus Christ. So the little girl who does not like to put her head under water tells me, "Mommy, God told my heart to get baptized". All I can say is praise God!! So here are her pictures openly proclaiming her belief in Jesus Christ as her savior, showing her obedience in what the Lord spoke to her heart. At seven years old she didn't question or second guess it! She simply walked forward in faith without wavering! Thank you Lord for your faithfulness!!
"Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude." Colossians 2:6-7

Are you dry and rocky or are you well watered?

I used to walk around the outside of our house every day. I would walk around and look at my flower beds. I love to garden! I’d stop and soak up the beauty, watch all the bees and other insects busy at work, pull weeds and just enjoy. It has been a long time since I’ve done that! We actually reluctantly put mulch around the house this year because I haven’t been able to keep up with them and the weeds were taking over. While the kids were eating lunch today, I stepped outside into the sun. I LOVE the sun!! It almost feels like the Lord just surrounding me with a big warm hug, but anyway I took a walk. I started walking around my house and noticed all the weeds starting to pop through the heavy mulch. I see my dry neglected flowers barely hanging on due to dry weather. There is an area where there is no mulch, simply because we ran out and haven’t gotten anymore yet. But in that spot the ground is so dry that it has deeply cracked and many rocks have surfaced. I just stopped and stared at it…I would have never let my soil get so dry, rocky and weeded in years past! I have neglected things. But as I stood there the Lord just spoke to my heart. How is my soil? My spiritual soil will dry, crack and get rocky if I don’t keep it watered. It is so easy to just start your day and flow right along with it before you know it your crawling into bed. Yes I pray and get into God’s word daily but sometimes even that just flows along with the motions of the day. Not intentionally but it does. I can make excuses if I want, but simply…I need more water, I’m thirsty and will crack (maybe literally =) if I don’t get submersed with God’s word. And then I look all around me…all these children. If I’m dry, cracked and rocky, what will I flow down to them? Nothing. I pray Lord for the waters to flow down to them, through them and on to others.

“Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” John 4:14

Thankful for Janessa!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be make known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

I'm thankful for Janessa!

We received an email from Janessa's Mom last night. She said, "She's lost most of her hair, but none of her spirit. " Julie also told me that Janessa started a chemo treatment Tuesday night and will be on it until late Friday night. She spoke of how hard it is during these times... to watch your child, your baby go through something like this. I can't imagine... http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/janessaj

So I ask every one of you who reads this! Please pray for Janessa and her entire family. Pray for complete healing and strength! Pray without ceasing over the next couple days of chemo!

""And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." Matt. 21:22

Please support Janessa and her family through Give a Blessing! 100% of the proceeds will go to help them! http://babybeblesseddolls.com/category_11/Give-a-Blessing.htm I'm thankful that no matter where we are...we can come together to pray, encourage and support each other through Jesus.

Please use us Jesus to help this family! ~Tina

Thankful Thursday on Friday...

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night...For You, O Lord, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands." Psalm 92:1-2,4
****

One~ I am thankful for all of you who have purchased a BbB doll, who have been so patient and understanding through this valley of growing pains, who have been so encouraging to Laura and myself. Who are faithful in keeping tabs on us and reading the BbB blog. Thank you!! I praise God for you!!
*
Two~ I am thankful for my dear husband, Keith, who puts up with me and supports whatever I do! Looks past my messy sewing table and strings on the floor, helps with supper and the children when I'm running behind. Even after working hard all day. I thank and praise God for allowing me to be Keith's wife. Even before I was saved, I told Keith that we were made for each other. Know I truly know that we were. The Lord knew even before we were formed in the womb what we would be and the children we would have together. Thank you Lord...even for the crazy times of life in this world! Pictured is a doll designed by Keith. I think he is working the male market... =)
*
Three~ I'm thankful for my Laura!! It was predestined that our paths would cross! I praise God for you and your pure heart just to serve Him! I would really be in quite a mess of things without you and Chris helping me! THANK YOU!! It was a joyful day on Wednesday that we finally were able to meet for the first time. Natalie looked out the window and said, "Mommy your pen pal is here!" it was just the sweetest! Laura and I mirror each other in so many ways...it's funny. But more than anything else...we are like minded in loving the Lord! Our children just blended together and I just love the Swymeler family to pieces!! Here are a few pictures...

Thank you Lord for all things!!

~Tina
