We want your vote!

Some of you asked where some of our old fabrics have gone?! We buy fat quarter collections for many reasons, so our fabric supply is limited. At times we replenish a popular fabric, but we always want to offer a fresh new selection of goodies for all of you! PLUS, fabric collections are being released all the time and as with everything else, it is out with the old and in with the new.
Not everyone is excited as I am with the fabrics we currently have on hand over at Baby be Blessed....WHAT?! =) But of course we want to try and make all of our customers get exactly what they want, we are voting for the next two fabric collections which will be offered at BbB. Take a look at the selections below and place your vote over in the side bar. Next Friday we will take a look at the results and add the top two fabric collections to our site!
Have fun everyone!

*All of these fabric collections are from the Fat Quarter Shop!

Introducing Hope Elizabeth and Maria Sue!

First off we have the officially named....Hope Elizabeth! I sat down with Natalie and we went through all of your GREAT name suggestions!
She thought naming the doll Natalie was funny...because "That's not a doll name, that's my name!" I told her she would forever be my doll! =)
She said she liked Hope and here she is! You can now purchase her as a custom order over at Baby be Blessed!
Secondly...we introduce to you little Maria Sue! She is named after sweet Maria Sue Chapman. I had Maria in my mind and on my heart when I designed this doll and I ask for your prayers to continue for this family!
Little did I know this morning that one year ago today Maria and Stevey Joy gave their heart to Jesus! You can go to Mary Beth's blog and read about it here. God's timing is so perfect! The Maria Sue doll is now also available at the website so go check it out!
For each Hope Elizabeth doll sold this month, we will donate $5 toward our Give a Blessing recipient Martilee!
For Each Maria Sue doll we sell this month, we will donate $5 to Maria's Miracle Fund!
We have more new dolls coming soon....
Have a great weekend everyone!!

Yay...FREE FRIDAY (Postponed)

Yes....sorry Yay Free Friday will be postponed for a while. We received a large group of orders all at once due to the give away at Bring the Rain! It is a HUGE PRAISE and I thank God for the opportunities He gives us! We certainly don't expect any of it knowing that what He gives He can also take away. We are thankful and feel blessed. Every doll that goes out has His word going out into this fallen world and as His truth proclaims...will not return void! Praise God!!
A lot is always going on behind the scenes here at BbB and though we may be quiet online, please know that we are always working, balancing and prayerfully moving forward daily. I've prayed for more hands and feet to help balance out the need we have and with that comes change. Change is always hard for me as the Lord daily reveals my fleshly need for control which in turn reveals ugly behavior traits that I didn't recognize before now. But praise God that he is cleaning out the dark closets that I didn't even know were there! We should be asking daily that those closets are cleaned out and stay clean. So quickly do we tuck something back in there without realizing. I ask that you pray with me...with we move forward in faith!
With many orders that still need to be sewn for January, I haven't had time to make any finished, personalized or giveaway items. Once we are past the swell of orders in house and hopefully have more sewers and cutters in place...I'm thinking that we will need to have a celebration of a week long giveaway! Give me your thoughts on this! Hmmmm the scavenger hunt giveaway was fun!! What other ideas can we come up with?
Have a Blessed Weekend Everyone!!

Special Prayer Requests

I have a couple special prayer requests for our past Give a Blessing Recipients.

First I received an email from Janessa's Mom, which reads:

Well, Tuesday's the day. We head into clinic tomorrow morning (around 9) for Janessa to be prepared for her bone marrow procedure. They will put her "out" and then take a sample of what's going on in her bone marrow. The hope/goal is that the chemo she's endured over the past nine months has destroyed all the cancer cells and that she is truly in remission. If there are no cells, the next step will be to plan surgery for her port to be removed. She will be considered in remission if/when she remains cancer free for five years. So we will continue to go to clinic, but it will probably just be once a month. So, please be in prayer for her. She doesn't like to be put under and the sample is painful to the hip. Please pray for God's peace, comfort and protection for her during this procedure .....and most of all that the cancer is gone. We'll let you know when we know the results....Thanks Julie for all

Second, here is an update on our sweet Carley from her Daddy Joel:

Hello Everyone, I am sorry that we haven't updated in a while but we have been on a roller coaster of emotions over the past week and have had to spend time processing all of the changes. Carley's tests did not come back as good as we would have hoped. Of course I already mentioned that her bone marrow is still dirty but the scans also revealed that she has stopped responding to the chemo treatments. Her newest set of scans showed that nothing had changed from the previous scans that were taken after her fifth round of chemo. Basically this means that her prognosis has gone from the good side of bad to the bad side of bad, humanly speaking of course. She is currently classified as having stable disease. The doctors at Riley have suggested that she be removed from her current therapy plan and that we look at other alternatives, which we are in the process of doing. The head of the stem cell department has put calls in to every neuroblastoma expert in the country. He has contacted individuals from Seattle to New York and is currently compiling a list of choices for us to make. At this point the most mentioned and most promising choice is a kind of radioactive MIBG therapy. Of course, like everything else in pediatric oncology, this therapy is only available as part of a clinical trial and there is currently only ONE spot left available on the current trial. This specific therapy was designed especially for children in Carley's situation. The only different approach that has been mentioned came from Sloan in New York and there recommendation is just to give her more chemo, we are reluctant to go down that path at this point because her cancer has obviously shown some resistance to chemotherapy. God is good and none of this has taken him by surprise. Percentages and human prognosis means nothing to him because ultimately this battle is of the spirit and not of the flesh. We understand the realities of Carley's situation but we also stand firm in our belief that when Man has little to offer, God is allowed to shine! Please pray that God would continue to work out all of the details and that we would soon be able to resume the type of therapy that he would have planned out for us. We hope to know something by Monday or Tuesday and we will let you know as soon as we can.

We lift these sweet girls up to you!

Please visit their Caringbridge site's to offer encouragement.
Let them know how many of us are praying for them!

Many Blessings to all of you!
