'Tis the Season to Give! {Yay Free Friday!}

This giveaway is now closed.
We are in full swing of the CHRISTmas season!
With to-do's lists that seem to never end and the hustle and bustle of trying to get everything done...it's easy to get swept away in the craziness!  {I'm with ya!}

But today I would like to slow down for just a minute to share a special ministry with you.

Hope Grafted In is a US non-profit ministry whose mission is to speak up for those that cannot speak for themselves. As we are grafted more and more into the likeness of Christ and HE grafts hope into our hearts, HGI desires to pour out His love and hope to orphans, widows, and adopting families through financial support and relational encouragement.  (*from the HGI website)

 Would you click on the link above and spend some time visiting with them today?  God is so faithful!  The CHRISTmas season is a season of giving, and maybe this is an opportunity to reach out a lot further than our own friends and family  --like across the world!

Through HGI you could prayerfully help a child in need through a One Time Donation, a Gift of an Animal or through a monthly Sponsorship program.  CLICK HERE to learn more!

Hope Grafted In also has an online store.  Proceeds help their ministry so why not make our purchases even more meaningful while getting a few people checked off that list!

Shelley {HGI, Executive Director}

We "adopt" a family that needs help with presents etc. and teach our kids about the gift of giving!

My family always participates in Operation Christmas Child. My kids love packing shoeboxes and praying for the kids that will receive them!

My family loves HGI and Baby Be Blessed! My goal this year was to give gifts that give back to others! I have purchased many unique items from HGI, and I'd love to add these amazing give away items to my giving this year!

It may seem small... but we bake a lot of food and pass it out to our loved ones as well as people that just need something happy. We also help at our local food pantry throughout the year.

We participate in the Angel Tree that our church has but I'd love to start a tradition of gathering items for Operation Christmas Child or purchasing a goat or something for a family from Samaritans Purse.

We pack boxes for OCC, buy for a child in our community and give money to families who are raising money for adoption.

With my MOPS group we pack and pray over shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Our church also usually has an angel tree that we'll select a present for someone.

We try to do things like take baked goods to the neighbors and first responders but we are trying to do more this year.

I run a small Christian private school from my home with a handful of students. We try to do a little outreach every year, whether it's packing shoe boxes for OCC, leaving treats for a neighbor, deliver handmade holiday cards to a local retirement community, or bringing treats to our local heroes (police and fireman). This year we plan to build bears at Build A Bear Workshop to donate to the local children's hospital. My students and children LOVE our outreach field trips. I teach them that we are blessed to be a blessing to others. =)

Each year my great-grandmother and the rest of my family give to some kind of fund. We do Operation Christmas Child. And each year at our house, we get one less present and give something to another country. Last year we gave a goat and a few chickens and helped fund a well in Africa.

I'm not ashamed to admit that in the past we've been blessed to get help with Christmas presents for our kids when things were tough through a local program. This year God has blessed us even more to be able to switch places and be the givers!

We purchased animals for families this year in our Children's names. They will receive a social card as a stocking stuffer to explain how they helped bring Christmas to a family around the world.

Special...not social! :)

We have two foster children from Mexico that we sponsor and send gifts each year. So a water bottle would be a wonderful thing to send them! As would a doll! Fingers crossed :)
