Pursuit of God

I started reading The Pursuit of God this morning. This book has been on my bookshelf forever and I have yet to read it. The Lord's timing is perfect however as He brought me back to this book yesterday. My heart desires to know Him more. So quickly our minds and bodies get wrapped up in what is going on in this world, that we don't seek God and His will. We place our own controls and desires before the Lords. He is calling me...He is waiting on me to choose Him. To seek Him. To draw closer to my Creator. The prayer after chapter one brought me to tears as I continue to step forward in faith to Him and His will for my life....

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me
thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further
grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, the Triune God, I
want to want Thee; I long to filled with longing; I thirst to be make more
thirsty still. Show my Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee
indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul,
"Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and
follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wandered so long.
In Jesus' name.
Amen
(AW Tozer)

Please pray with me. Pray that we would daily pick up our cross. That we would have a thirst to know Him. That we would have a mighty longing after our God!

I'm going to put that on my "to read" list. Thank you so much again for the July dolly. My daughter Gracen was our baby who survived premature rupture at 22 weeks and was born at 32. I"m trying to get a picture of her with her dolly. The scripture was perfect and my kids are working on memorizing it too. Thanks for blessing her. Our 5th arrow is due in December (we just found out another little girl) so we'll be making our lamb soon for her.
