Living Proverbs 22:6

"Train up a child in the way he should go,
even when he is old he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6

This morning as I continued to pray and seek what the Lord wanted me to share, the burden I feel to shelter my children from the world came to my mind.

The Holy Spirit brought me to John 17:1-26.

As Jesus himself prayed this prayer for all of us...we need to continue to pray it over our children.

To KNOW it, TRUST it -BELIEVE it!

"I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world." vs 15-18

He has given us the tools we need, that our children need, to go out into the world. Not to be a part of the world, but to live and preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ in the world. Sanctify your children with the truth. Equip them for this fallen world we live in! What an awesome reminder for me this morning, that instead of having the mindset to keep my children from the world we are to teach, train, raise them up and prepare them to go out into the world...to be defenders and proclaimers of Christ.

How do we do this?? Through Him only! Through the manual He has given to us to use and the Holy Spirit helping/guiding us! Not through schools, programs, self teachings or any other earthly way. Only Him~Amen!

Please read this entire prayer (John 17:1-26)

How is the Lord speaking to you?? Please share!!
Let's join together...so we may all be one, just as Christ and the Father are one.

With much love~Tina

I'm trying to train myself better. I work in a place that really demeans Christians and it's very hard for me sometimes. I have been made fun of for it and I know there are times that I could have been more vocal about my love of God. But I know He's with me and it'll all work out.

I like to come onto your site and a few others to feel like part of a community when things get rough at work.

Thank you so much for this! With three daughters, all of whom will attend public school, I often worry about how to guard their hearts and minds....thank you so much for reminding me that the best defense is found from the armor of God!!!!
