Will you join me in prayer today?

"The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them;

Living Proverbs 22:6...Dusty Faith
Dawn is breaking and I reach the top of the stairs. My eye catches the Jesus painting we purposefully hung "right there" as a reminder of the One we need to keep our focus on.
My eyes pass over and then bolt right back!
Why didn't I see it yesterday or the day before or the day before that? I know I look at this painting with every pass up and down throughout the day!
It's thick! Dust!
It was horrible! I ran my finger along the bottom of the frame and noticed the cobwebs strung from the corner. I apologized to Jesus (I really did) as I went down the stairs. I started my coffee and the thoughts of that dust kept coming back to my mind.
It just creeps in doesn't it?
Silent...unnoticed until it is so thick you can write in it?
Cant' that dusty frame be like a dusty faith?!
Busyness of lifes To Do's growing thick creating dust piles on our Jesus?
On our prayer time?
On our Bible time?
A separation from Him? Thicker and Thicker?
That's just what the enemy wants too! He's adding a lot of distraction and dirt into the air...but it ultimately is our own choice to wipe the filth away and keep our eyes focused on His truths.
Thank you Lord that when our faith gets dusty and we get distracted that your arms are always open...waiting for us! I praise You for your Love, Mercy and Grace!

Too Cute Tuesday -A Girl's Night Out!
The Girls Night Out event that I was invited to speak at last night was fantastic!
What a wonderful group of beautiful ladies!
The evening was organized by two very special women, Jami and Sarah. They did a wonderful job decorating, getting all of the food ready and making sure each person felt welcome. I know I did!
It was doll themed so they had paper dolls for all of the big and little girls to put together!
Here are my two girls busy at work!
It was so adorable and a fantastic fun idea to go along with the theme!
We saw beautiful smiles and met wonderful new friends! I will continue to pray for each of you who attended and hope that you all keep your eyes on Christ and stay faithful to the work that He calls you to do!

Marvelous Monday!
Just a quick note to let you know who won our Yay...Free Friday giveaway this week!
It is Leah Cooper Agnew!
Congratulations Leah!
I also wanted to share the daily Bible verse that I received in my inbox this morning....
"Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again - my Savior and my God!" ~ Psalms 42:11, NLT
Though I'm not feeling discouraged this morning...there are times that I do! This verse spoke to my heart and I just wanted to share it with all of you so that we might write it down to remember and stand firm on the foundation of His word those days we are feeling shaky!
Psalm 40:2 reads: “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”
Have a wonderfully fantastic marvelous Monday!

Living Proverbs 22:6
"Train up a child in the way he should go; And when he is old he will not depart from it"
Proverbs 22:6
Last Saturday, I visited a local church for their Mother's Day Service. The message was titled "Passing the Baton" meaning passing our faith. Training up our children in God's word.
Using the book of Judges as an example, they spoke much about Israel's failure to pass the Lord's teaching to their children.
In our morning Bible time, we recently finished the book of Judges so it was fresh in my mind how "how everyone did what was right in his own eyes" (Judges 21:25) vs living according to God's law. Each generation got further and further away until most things of God were forgotten or ignored.
Isn't it so very sad that we see the same things in our culture today?
In their bulletin, they had a listing of habits and practical applications that we should be doing daily in order to live out our faith to God and at the same time teaching and passing our faith to our children. They were all reminders to me, but I found myself reading through them many times throughout the week, so I thought I would share them here...
HABITS:
1. Pray and read your Bible everyday! (actually this was listed as #4 but I personally think it should be our #1 habit...so I moved it up! =)
2. Pray at all meals and teach your child to pray at meals.
3. Pray before going to sleep. Teach children to pray before sleep.
*Now again if I could just add my two bits in here...I agree with #2 and #3 completely but to take that a step further, to teach your child to have quiet time with the Lord every day. Reading His word. Praying. Worshiping. It's teaching them to start the habit of spending time fellowshiping with the Him independently. The Lord placed this on my heart for our family and we started 20 min of quiet time each day in which they spend with the Lord. It's right on our chore chart for remembrance. It has been going well. If we have weeks that we fall off (which we have) it's simply picking up again, right where we left off. And praying before bed is awesome...and we do...but we have a tendency to doze off (personal experience). God deserves our best so I am trying to teach and practice praying and fellowshiping with Him when we are wide awake and alert.
5. Go to Church faithfully and make sure your children to to the children and teen programs.
6. Pray for your children's salvation and continued maturity as Christians.
7. Tell your children you love them and make sure they hear you say it to your spouse.
8. (my addition) Make sure you tell them how much Christ loves them! He made them in His image. Fearfully and wonderfully He made them! We need to remind them constantly of that!
PRACTICAL:
9. Listen to yourself talking to your children and your spouse. (yes, ouch! Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks)
10. How do you sound to your children when you are on the phone? (double ouch! What is my witness? Felt a lot of conviction on this one!)
11. Monitor television, video games, music, friends, and reading material.
12. (This one grabbed my heart) Do your children know that the Lord is more important to you than sports, hobbies, education or money? (What are my actions concerning worldly things? Do my children see that I love the Lord more than everything else?? Do I love the Lord more than anything else??? My actions reflect my heart)
13. Do your children hear you say your are sorry when you do wrong? (We are not perfect and our children see it quicker than anyone else. Repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness. Live it out in front of our children. Faith in action! =)
14. Do you children see you helping those that can't help themselves?
15. Do your children know how to work? It is your responsibility to teach them to work hard.
16. Very, very seldom (Look at this with a Biblical perspective) side with children over authority. ex-Church, teachers, grandparents, police, bosses, other adults)
17. Teach that unfairness is a part of life; stop complaining and go on. (When my kids say "That's not fair" my response is always..."Life's not fair". We have that to look forward to in eternity.)
18. (I love this one!) What makes you know that your child knows Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?
19. Discipline your child in a way it hurts them the most, so that they get the point. (Again...make sure that this is in a Biblical manner. Seek God's wisdom.)
20. You can and should express disappointment in your child's sin and disobedience. Never make them feel unimportant or small. (Don't crush your child's spirit)
21. Seldom lend to your child or sign for children; if you want to help, give yourself physically or give money.
22. Your rules in your house, when they choose to leave they can follow their rules.
23. Follow your child's rules concerning your grandchildren.
24. Teach your children to always be truthful and fair. (Being conformed to the image of Christ. "What do you think Jesus would do in that situation?"
So there you have it! Take these reminders and allow God to speak to you through it.
Let's make sure that we are passing our faith to our children.
Aren't they worth it?!

Happy Mother's Day!
As we celebrate today, may we take a moment to remember how important our role is in our family! May we love Christ so much that we desire our hearts would be changed and that we would constantly be pouring out the love and grace we have been given onto those around us!
You, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
Making history with every touch and every smile
Oh, you, you may not see it now
But I believe that time will tell
How you, you are changing the world
One little heartbeat at a time
You're beautiful
how you're changing the world!
Happy Mother's Day!

Yay...Free Friday -Honoring a Memory!
I am absolutely BLESSED with the gift of the children that I get to hold in my arms here on earth...but my husband and I have a child that we will be holding eternally as well! The Lord placed our second child in His arms when I was only 11 weeks pregnant. I was emotionally shattered. So many of you have had much different experiences. Some I couldn't even imagine going through and I don't pretend to understand the pain that some of you have experienced...but I know how we quietly mourned over our child and I still think of that child today.
One of the most beautiful things we have been privileged to do is make dolls that Treasure a Memory! The first lamb I made was in honor of Laura's son Matthew who went to be with Jesus. Even though many years had past since that time...it was still something for her to touch. Something her other children could hold. Something visual for remembrance.
Since then we've made many dolls and animals that are held as treasure to honor beautiful gifts received from God! I have run my fingers over the little foot and hand prints....cried over sweet pictures and prayed for the families still feeling the void that can only be filled with the truth through Christ that we will see them again!
So this weekend as we celebrate Mothers, would you pray with me for all those Mommies who have lost?
We treasure and love each of you and would love to make one of you a special doll, honoring someone in the arms of Jesus....

Rejoicing! Blessings and Praises!
"Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, [And] into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations." Psalm 100:1-5, NKJV
Some blessings from this week....
Just a few of the many blessing that the Lord has poured upon us this week!
Lord I praise you!
How about you?
